This passage begins with the words, “brothers and sisters”. How do these terms describe how those in the church should treat one another? What are some lessons from family life that we can apply to our relationships with other Christians?
What do you think it means to be “caught in a sin?” What types of sins do you think are particularly easy to get caught in?
What do you think it means to restore someone gently? How specifically might a group of friends restore someone who has been caught in sin?
Describe a time when you had the opportunity to carry someone else’s burden for them? When has someone carried your burden?
When have you felt caught in a sin? How did you find your way out? How could other people have made it easier for you?
What keeps people from asking for help (whether they are caught in sin or need help carrying a burden)? How can people in the church make it easier or more natural to ask for help?
Who, in your life, do you depend on when you need help? How will you seek help from them this week? How will you offer help?
