Which Lives Matter to God? (Mark 10)

Who is the most important person in your life (besides God)? How do you treat this person differently than everyone else?
Who is someone that treats you very well? How does their treatment of you make you feel special?
What people (or people groups) do you know that are not treated well by others? What do you think Jesus would say to those people?
Read Mark 10:13-16.
Why do you think the disciples were preventing the children from getting to Jesus? What does this reveal about their view of children?
How do you think the parents of these children felt about the disciples?
Have you ever felt like someone was hindering you from accomplishing something important? How did you feel about them?
What are some examples of how Christians might hinder other people from coming to Jesus?
Jesus demonstrated love for the least important group of people. He opened his arms to them and blessed them. How might people follow this example today?
How easy or difficult would it be to treat every person you encounter as if they were the most important person in your life?
Who are some people you encounter on a daily basis who need to know that Jesus values them? How can you show them the love of Jesus?
What words or actions can you change so that everyone around you will know how much they matter to God and to you?
Can you commit to having one gracious conversation or engaging in one act of kindness this week? Will you commit to praying for the people in your life who need know that Jesus loves them?
