An Encounter With Jesus Will Change Your Life (Acts 9)

What are the top three life changing events you have experienced in your life? Were the changes positive or negative? Why?

How are you different today than you were 10 years ago? What things contributed to that change?

As a group, read the story of Saul's conversion in Acts 9:1-31.

What words would you use to describe Saul before his conversion? Do you think his intentions were good or bad? Why?

What result did Saul's actions have on the church?

Why do you think Jesus said, "I am Jesus whom you are persecuting." How was Saul persecuting Jesus?

Americans don't face the same kind of religious persecution as many others in the world. How do American Christians suffer persecutions? Do you think American Christians ever persecute each other? How?

How do some Christians inadvertently persecute other believers? How do you think Jesus feels when Christians are fighting with one another?

Saul's conversion moved him from being blind to being able to see. How are people blinded before they encounter Jesus? How were you blind before you encountered Jesus? What can you see more clearly today as a result of your relationship with Jesus?

How did Saul's conversion ultimately affect the church (verse 31). Have you ever thought about how your life impacts the church? How can you contribute to the church in a way that will bring peace and growth? How can you avoid inadvertently persecuting others in the church?

How can this group be a peace-giving group?
