Study Questions from Titus 2:11-14

Titus 2:11-14 appears at the end of a list of “life instructions.” Read Titus 2:1-10 and make a list of the instructions Paul gave to Timothy. Which of these applies to your life?

What do you think it means that Jesus “redeemed” and “purified” us? What does it look like for someone to be “eager to do what is good?”

Write Titus 2:12 in your own words. What “ungodliness” do you need to say “no” to (or renounce)? What are some of the “world passions” Christians face today?

What is “this present age” that verse 12 speaks of? What are some words you would use to describe the age in which we live? What does it mean to be: “self-controlled, upright, and godly?”

Titus 2:13 talks about waiting for the “blessed hope.” Why are you looking forward to Christ's return? How often do you think about His return? How would your daily life change if you thought about Jesus' return every day?
